Privacy Policy

This policy describes information collected when Monroe County Court Docket is used, how that information is used, and the limited circumstances in which it can be shared. Use of this private reference resource is subject to these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or case number entered into a third-party search tool goes to the provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and returns any result under its own terms. Monroe County Court Docket does not retain or log entered search terms.

Messages and Contact Submissions

If you email us, we retain the message to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, our servers may receive technical details about the visit, including:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small device files used to understand aggregate use, such as pages visited and navigation patterns. Analytics services help aggregate that traffic data. Browser controls can block cookies, although some features may work differently when they are blocked.

What We Do With This Data

  • Operating, securing, and improving page delivery
  • Routing a submitted search to its provider
  • Understanding aggregate use and page performance
  • Diagnosing and correcting technical problems
  • Delivering advertising that may be relevant

No Court-Record Data on File

This resource does not host, maintain, compile, or sell databases of court dockets or personal case-record data. It provides routing information for Monroe County Circuit, Chancery, Justice, and municipal records, including the clerk offices and court systems that maintain them. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or files about third parties.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is subject to the provider’s privacy policy, not this policy. The provider controls its retention and sharing practices, so review its policy before submitting a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to clerk pages, court portals, MEC/PAMEC access pages, city resources, and outside search tools. Once you leave this resource, that destination’s privacy terms govern your visit. Review them before providing personal details.

Some advertising partners can track activity across sites to deliver interest-based advertising. That tracking occurs in their systems rather than ours.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Information can be available to these categories of recipients:

  • Search providers processing a submitted query
  • Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
  • Advertising networks that serve content on our pages
  • Government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure

How We Protect Your Data

We use customary safeguards for information we collect. No internet-connected service can guarantee complete security, so a security incident cannot be ruled out.

Users Under 18

This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided information so it can be removed.

Your Data Rights

Mississippi privacy and consumer-protection rules may provide additional rights depending on the information involved. The Mississippi Public Records Act, Miss. Code Ann. § 25-61-1 et seq., does not by itself control judicial files; court records follow judicial-access policy, applicable court rules, and clerk procedures. At a minimum, you can:

  • Request a copy of information retained about you
  • Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of certain processing where available

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this policy. A revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
